Since 1924, Brandywine Hundred Fire Company No. 1 has stood as a cornerstone of public safety in northern New Castle County, Delaware. Operating from their station on Brandywine Boulevard in Wilmington, this all-hazard fire company delivers fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, fire prevention, and community outreach—supported by a dedicated team of both volunteer and career personnel.

Brandywine Hundred Fire Company (BHFC) is a vital combination fire department, providing round-the-clock emergency services to the communities of northern Delaware along the border of the City of Wilmington. Recently celebrating its centennial of continuous service, BHFC carries a long-standing tradition of excellence, professionalism, and commitment to the citizens it serves.

The department maintains 24/7 staffing with certified Firefighter/EMTs and EMS-only personnel, ensuring a rapid and professional response to every call. To meet the diverse needs of its district, BHFC operates a well-rounded fleet of emergency apparatus, including three basic life support (BLS) ambulances, a tower ladder, a rescue truck, and two engines (pumpers).
