The Lexington County Fire Service has been serving the County of Lexington, SC for over 50 years. The dedicated team of 300+ career firefighters operating out of 25 fire stations uphold a standard of “service excellence” in all endeavors, driven by a proactive “can-do” attitude and a focus on superior customer service. The department's motto, “Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty,” underscores the courage and dedication of its personnel in the answering of over 21,000 calls for service annually.


LCFS's Station 10, originally established by the Town of Lexington in 1908 and incorporated into the Lexington County Fire Service in 1974, is located in downtown Lexington and is home to the department’s infamous Tower 310 ladder company. Tower 310 is the department’s busiest company and answers over 3,000 calls annually, resulting in it being known as “Midtown Madness”.
