Station 58 is the 9th “in-service” station for the North Las Vegas Fire Department. The station’s construction was a response to major growth in the north side of North Las Vegas (particularly the Tule Springs area) and the need for improved response times. Groundbreaking for the facility took place on June 20th, 2023. The station covers ~14,000 square feet with multiple apparatus bays. It currently houses Truck 58, Rescue 58, ILS58 (if staffing allows for it) and Battalion 15. The station identity/design was inspired by the address which station 58 sits on, Deer Springs Rd.

Station 58 is less than a year old, so there's not much history behind it; however, it is a testament of the measure of customer service and improved response through our organization. The design emphasizes the station as “home away from home” for firefighters: dorm rooms for 48-hour shifts, lounge and kitchen, gym for wellness. Community outreach is explicitly built into the station’s plan: the community lounge is intended to host meetings and activities, open-house events (e.g., the BBQ) connect the fire station to the residents. The station is integrated into the city’s Strategic Plan for “public safety and building community partnerships.”

By serving ~30,000 residents in a rapidly expanding community, Station 58 plays a key role in ensuring that the NLVFD can maintain response standards and keep up with growth.
